Prof. Zhang got his Ph.D. degree from IoP-CAS, and he was a postdoc at Stanford University. Currently, he is serving as the Deputy Director of Songshan Lake Materials Laboratory. He has been selected as a young top-notch talent under the National High-level Talents Special Support Program, NSFC for Distinguished Young Scholars, “Ten Thousand Talents Program” Leading Talents in Scientific and Technological Innovation, Outstanding foreign expert introduced by CAS, and a young leading talent by MOST. He has been awarded the first prize of Beijing Science and Technology Award, Young Scientist Prize of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, CAS Outstanding Science and Technology Achievement Prize, Hu Gangfu Physics Award of CPS, Young Innovators Awards in 2D Materials. Prof. Zhang has led several research projects such as National Key R&D Program of the MOST, the major projects of NSFC, and CAS Pioneer Class B projects, etc. With over 20 years of experience in the field of nanophysics and devices, Prof. Zhang has published more than 230 high-level academic papers (including 38 papers in Science and Nature series), with a total of over 22,000 citations and the highest single paper citation of over 2,400 times. His personal H-index is 66, and he has been selected as a highly cited researcher by Clarivate Analytics in 2021, 2022, and 2023. He is currently serving as Deputy Editor of Materials Futures and as an editorial board member for Nano Res., npj 2D Mat. Appl., etc.
